2021 Equinox

The 2022 Equinox has a redesigned front grille and redesigned headlights. A black or chrome bar with the Chevy symbol in the center stretches across it, connecting the headlights for a sleek, streamlined look. Four trim levels are available: LS, LT, RS, and Premier. Standard features include 17-inch wheels, dual exhaust, and automatic high beams. You can add assist steps, 18- or 19-inch wheels, an acoustic windshield, and heated manually-folding side mirrors with turn signals. A tinted rear window, a black Chevy emblem, fog lights, a hands-free power liftgate with height settings, and a power sunroof are also optional. Available colors include Blue Glow Metallic, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, Mosaic Black Metallic, Seaglass Blue Metallic, Iron Gray Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat.

The turbocharged, 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine gives 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. It's connected to a six-speed transmission with overdrive and manual modes. When you pause in traffic, the motor shuts off to conserve fuel while keeping accessories like the radio on. It reactivates when you press the accelerator, and you can shut off this feature if you don't prefer using it.

This SUV has responsive handling, an independent suspension, electronic stability control, traction control, and optional all-wheel drive. You can go 26 mpg in traffic and 31 mpg on the open road, and you can pull up to 3,500 pounds. You can also add an engine block heater.

Other options include navigation, six USB ports, dual-zone climate control, a collapsible cargo organizer, an SD card reader, a heated steering wheel, a garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
