2023 Chevy Trailblazer
The Trailblazer is one of Chevy's returned legacy lines that hit the highways in 2021. We are two years into the model's new design, and it is still one of the most class-defining models out there. The Trailblazer brings a cavernous cabin design along with the latest in technology and safety features, as well as outstanding off-road capabilities. Check out what you'll find when you get behind the wheel of the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer.
Trim Levels
The 2023 Trailblazer offers four trim levels. The base trim is the LS, and the midrange trim is the LT. For off-road adventures, go for the ACTIV, and to get all the bells and whistles, opt for the top-of-the-line RS trim. Most models come with a two-tone paint scheme that matches Summit White with one of the following colors: Mosaic Black, Blue Glow Metallic, Vivid Orange, Nitro Yellow Metallic, Iridescent Pearl, or Sterling Gray. You can also opt for a single-color Summit White.
Engine
The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in two powertrains. Front-wheel-drive models are the standard offering and are driven by a turbocharged three-cylinder 1.2-liter engine that generates 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. It's matched with a continuously variable transmission. Those who opt for the all-wheel-drive models get a more powerful 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that generates 155 horsepower backed up by 174 pound-feet of torque and matched with a nine-speed automatic.
Performance
The latest model of Trailblazer offers authoritative cornering with fantastic control and very limited body roll, thanks to a solid suspension. The steering is agile, and the acceleration is responsive with a great deal of pickup. Braking is solid and well-controlled. With the ACTIV trim, you get off-road-enhancing features like a specially tuned suspension and more rugged tires, as well as underbody skid plates and a tow hitch receiver. When properly equipped, the Trailblazer has a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 pounds, which is handy since most vehicles in its class aren't rated for towing at all.
Interior
The new Trailblazer has a large cabin with high-quality materials throughout and an intuitive layout where all controls are easy to reach and manipulate. Front-seat passengers get 40.9 inches of legroom and 40 inches of headroom. In the back seat, passengers get 38.4 inches of headroom and 39.4 inches for their legs. Behind the back seat, you will have 25.3 cubic feet of space for luggage and gear, which expands to 54.4 cubic feet if you stow the seats. Technology offerings include a responsive touchscreen, wireless Android and Apple smartphone integration, and available premium Bose sound.
Safety Features
Every Trailblazer comes standard with front crash warning and automatic emergency braking, as well as lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance. If you opt for the Driver Confidence Package, you’ll also get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, and rear parking sensors. The Technology Package adds a high-resolution rearview camera and adaptive cruise control. It's no wonder that the Trailblazer got an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ and a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
